Leave a LegacyIncluding the Centre for Family Literacy in your estate plans with a future gift through a bequest, life insurance or trust arrangement is an effective way of continuing to support our work. We have established an endowment fund at the Edmonton Community Foundation that allows us to take advantage of the Foundation's endowment expertise. Gifts to endowment funds are invested in perpetuity, and only a portion of the investment income is used to fund our programs each year. Ways to Make a GiftOutright Gifts: A gift of cash or other assets such as appreciated securities (any amount) will help build the endowment immediately. Wills: A gift of a percentage of your estate assets or a specific sum of money to The Centre for Family Literacy Endowment Fund in your will. Life Insurance: Complete a “change of beneficiary form” for an existing policy. Transfer ownership of an existing policy or purchase a new policy and make The Centre for Family Literacy Endowment Fund the owner and irrevocable beneficiary. Retirement Funds: Complete a “change of beneficiary form” for an RRSP or RRIF. |
“Literacy is at the heart of all learning and families have a key role to play in developing and nurturing literacy through every stage of life.” |
