The C.O.W. Bus was stationed at the Health Unit / Parent Link Centre in Taber for 2 days. Many families stopped by to see what the bus painted like a cow was all about; many stayed for quite a while to play games and read together.
The Legacy Library was presented to representatives from the Horizon School Division and FCSS.
We spent a very busy day aboard the C.O.W. Bus in Vauxhall. The facilitators read stories, modeled literacy activities, and spoke with many parents who came with their children to find new ideas for things to do together. A great time was had by all! Many representatives from the community turned out for the Legacy Library presentation.
The local kindergarten class braved the blustery winter weather to spend the morning aboard the C.O.W. Bus. They were joined by some local families, and everyone had fun doing puzzles, reading together, and telling each other stories with the help of all kinds of puppets and props.
The Legacy Library was presented to representatives from Parenting Coach with the FCSS Parenting Program, and the Milk River Municipal Library.
Although there had been blizzard conditions the night before, several parents and their children made it to the local library in Enchant to visit the C.O.W. Bus. There were crafts to do and new books to read inside the library, and families also came to the bus to gain some new family literacy ideas and visit with other local families.
The Legacy Library was presented to the Enchant Library.
