The COW Bus had a very busy week in Grande Prairie and area. On Monday, we started off the morning in the city, and then drove out to Wembley where lots of families joined us on the bus.
We were in the city again on Tuesday morning, and saw some truly dedicated families who came to the bus to spend some quality time with their kids. After lunch, we made the trip out to the tiny community of Elmworth, where we parked right on the school grounds for the afternoon.
The next day, the COW Bus visited the lovely town of Beaverlodge, where we met Mayor Leona Hanson. She spent some time on the bus, watching parents reading and playing with their children.
Hythe was our next stop, and it was our first visit to this community. We spent the afternoon with some great local families.
Valhalla and La Glace welcomed us on Thursday, and Janine Nyland, County MP, took time out of her busy schedule to join us in sharing ideas with parents.
Our last stop of the week was Sexsmith. We had a great morning with the parents and children who came to the library, and 2 new families signed up for library memberships!
