The C.O.W. Bus arrived at Father Perin School in Janvier on Monday morning. It was great to see all the students, from Kindergarten right up to Grade 7, having fun on the bus. The Legacy Library was presented to the school principal, Paul Eddy.
We spent the afternoon at Anzac Community School and met all the students in Grades 1 – 3 and their teachers. Everyone had a good time listening to stories, and the teachers picked up some new ideas for their classrooms. The school principal, Dolores Billings, accepted the Legacy Library.
Tuesday we planned to travel to Fort Chipewyan, unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip up to because of the extremely cold weather. However, we presented a Legacy Library to staff of the Athabasca Tribal Council and they will deliver the books to the community.
The C.O.W. Bus parked outside the Fort McKay School on Wednesday. All the Division 1 students and their teachers climbed aboard for stories, puppets, puzzles, and games.
