The C.O.W. bus traveled to the community of Vulcan to participate in a family literacy night at Vulcan Prairie View Elementary School. This was an excellent event. The organizers had planned a number of family literacy activities and workshops for families inside of the school. The C.O.W. bus was very busy with many visitors who learned about and shared new family literacy strategies with the facilitators.
The Legacy Library will be shared between the Vulcan Public Library and the Rainbow Literacy Society.
The C.O.W. bus then traveled to Champion and parked at the Champion Legion. The local Time for Rhymes group attended programming on the bus. We were able to meet many families and shared family literacy activities and ideas. The Legacy Library will be shared between the Champion and Carmangay Public Libraries.
The C.O.W. bus visited the village of Arrowood for an afternoon of programming at the Arrowood Public Library. Many local families participated in activities on the bus. The Time for Rhymes facilitator also held programming inside of the library for visitors waiting to board the bus. The Legacy Library will become part of the Arrow Public Library collection.
