Standoff and Laverne

The Prairie C.O.W. arrived in Standoff on the morning of April 22 and parked next to the school. The bus was open to the public all morning, and families dropped by to spend some time reading and playing together. The K4 and K5 classes gathered on the bus in the afternoon to hear stories and play with toys and puzzles geared towards early literacy.

The Legacy Library was presented to the Family and Community Support Services and will be kept at Standoff Daycare.

The next morning, the Alberta Prairie Classroom on Wheels rolled into Laverne and parked near the school. Families from the community visited the bus in the morning, and were invited inside the Head Start building for face-painting and a delicious lunch. The K4 and K5 groups and their teachers came aboard the bus in the afternoon for storytelling and games of all kinds.

The Legacy Library was presented to the Kainai Development Centre for use in their programs.
