The C.O.W. Bus parked in the playground at the Drumheller and District Further Education. The day promised rain, but scores of children and their parents and teachers were treated to storytelling by a young local author, crafts, face-painting, outdoor activities, and a sing-along with a local musician.

Everyone was invited onto the bus for more stories, science experiments, puzzles, and games, and parents and caregivers left with new ideas for promoting early literacy in the home and classroom. The Legacy Library will be shared between the Parent Link and Building Blocks Programs.

Residents of Acme found the C.O.W. Bus parked outside their community centre. Several families stopped in to investigate the activities and ideas on the bus, and were welcomed into the community centre to participate in crafts and to view the Legacy Library.

The books from the Legacy Library will be distributed among a variety of organizations in the community.
