Chestermere, Cochrane and Airdrie

Rocky View Adult Education, Chestermere Public Library, East Rocky View Family and Support Services, and the Kidz 1st Parent Link worked together to bring the bus to their community. We parked the bus at the Chestermere Public Library and participated in the many activities planned throughout the day including storytelling and face painting. The Legacy Library was presented to the Mayor of Chestermere, Patricia Matthews and it will be kept in the Chestermere Public Library for circulation in the community.

In Cochrane, the bus was parked at the FCSS Homestead and Parent Link Centre. There were many storytelling sessions throughout the day and cake and cookies for all. The Cochrane FCSS organized the event with support from their partners, Rocky View Adult Education-Family Literacy, Nan Boothby Memorial Library, Boys and Girls Club, and Cochrane Parent Link. The Mayor of Cochrane, Truper McBride, accepted the Legacy Library on behalf of the Cochrane FCSS Homestead and Parent Link Centre where it will be kept.

Rocky View Adult Education, Airdrie Public Library, Airdrie Family Services, North Rocky View Community Resource Centre, and the Parent Link Centre partnered to bring the C.O.W. bus to Airdrie. Together they planned many activities planned throughout the day including storytelling and Curious George was on hand to visit. The Legacy Library was presented to the Mayor of Airdrie, Linda Bruce, and it will be kept in the Airdrie Public Library for circulation in the community.
