Past Programs & Projects

Drayton Valley, Tomahawk, Lindale and Evansburg

A wonderful event was planned for our visit to Drayton Valley. Many of the activities took place in the Scouts hall.  They had face painting, digging for treasure, and a barbeque.  The Legacy Library was present to Mayor Diana McQueen and it will house at the Health Unit in that community.

We had a short visit in the community of Tomahawk. The school and community librarians as well as families came aboard to check out the bus. The Legacy Library was presented to the librarian of the Tomahawk Public Library that is inside the Tomahawk Public School.

We then went onto Lindale for another brief visit. The Legacy Library was presented to the Coordinator of the Preschool Group where it will be kept.

The bus spent a full day in the community of Evansburg.  Inside of the PARS arena, there were many activities for preschool aged children and their families including face painting, a petting zoo, and a barbeque.

The Legacy Library was presented to Gerald Soroka, Councilor, Yellowhead County, and to Heather Nutbrown, the local Librarian. The Legacy Library will circulate to multiple locations: the Grand Trunk School Library, the Evansburg Public Library, the Wildwood Public Library, and the Entwhistle Public Library.
