Sherwood Park

Parents Place hosted our second visit to Sherwood Park.  On our first day an agency fair was held at the Wye Community Hall.  As well as information for parents on local programs, there were many activities for families to enjoy.  A large play area was set up in the centre of the room and the children made banners with nursery rhymes on them.  In the afternoon a librarian came from the public library to tell stories.  All the families enjoyed the story of the Enormous Turnip.

On the second day the bus moved to Broadmoor Park.  This was an excellent location for a beautiful sunny day.  Many families were out enjoying the sunshine and came to visit the bus and enjoyed speaking with staff from Parents Place and participating in activities under the picnic shelter.

The Legacy Library was presented to Parents Place and accepted by two local councilors.

Many thanks to everyone involved in this visit.  We had a wonderful two days.
