The C.O.W. bus rolled into Manning for Rodeo Weekend, July 28 through 30th. This popular event attracted a number of families from all over Alberta, as well as those from Manning and surrounding area. The bus was parked at the Rodeo and Fair grounds for the weekend and also had an opportunity to participate in the downtown parade. It was wonderful to see the excitement on the faces of so many little cowgirls and cowboys.
The dinosaur theme was popular with the young children who attended the bus and then took in the activities offered by the local Adult Literacy and Families First facilitators. Children were able to dig for dinosaurs, play dinosaur board games and construct dinosaur habitat. The Library offered a free Family Membership as a draw prize.
The Legacy library was presented to the Family Resource Centre for use in their new Reading Circle Program.
