Leduc 2006

The C.O.W. bus arrived in Leduc, on Thursday, to take part in the Alberta Dairy Congress festivities for two days.  Appropriately, the theme of the visit was the farm to coincide with the event which included a petting zoo for the children and many, many displays booths where we were able to purchase “cow” socks for our team (black and white motif).

The Legacy Library presentation was made on the first day of the visit to the local MLA, George Rodgers. Also present were Leduc Deputy Mayor, Terry Atkinson and County Reeve John Whalley.

The Leduc Community Education Centre hosted our visit. Their volunteers and coordinator were located beside the bus where they displayed the Legacy Library books and talked to many visitors about their local programs.

Other sponsors for our visit were: Leduc Public Health Centre, Leduc Public Library, Parents Place, R.O.M.P.S. Dollarama, County F.C.S.S. Early Entry/Early Years Initiative: Family Connections, and the Flying Colors Program.

Thank you Leduc.
