The Elnora Neighbourhood Place hosted our trip to Elnora. FCSS and the local library came out to run crafts, karaoke and a children’s dress up area. They also talked with parents about the programs they offer. It was a beautiful sunny day and families that came out for the day’s events stayed for the majority of the day.
A picnic lunch was provided for the local school children and the families that attended the day’s festivities. The Legacy Library was presented to the library and the librarian encouraged all the children in the audience to join her summer reading program.
Thanks to everyone that worked together to plan this fun community event.
What parents and participants have said about the program

“This is a great way to promote reading with adults as well as the children. Thank you.”
