Drayton Valley 2006

Drayton Valley Read and Learn and Brighter Futures hosted the bus visit. On our first morning, the bus parked at Winfield Elementary School. Many mothers and their children came out to enjoy the bus.  The Legacy Library was presented to Winfield Community Library, which is housed at Winfield Elementary School.

In the afternoon, the bus was parked at the Buck Lake Community Hall.  The Legacy Library was presented to the Buck Lake Parents and Tots group who will share it with the playschool and community.  Songs and stories filled the bus as many mothers and children participated in the fun.

The next day, Drayton Valley agencies hosted a ``Teddy Bear Picnic``.  The sun came out for the first day of summer.  Hundreds of people filled the park and toured the bus. The park was filled with many activities for the families from bubble blowing, to games, to face painting.  All the families that participated had a wonderful day.

The Legacy Library was presented to Brighter Futures – Drayton Valley.

Thanks to everyone involved in planning this wonderful two day visit!
