Cochrane, Morley and Bragg Creek

The C.O.W. bus visited for 4 days in Cochrane, Morley and Bragg Creek under blue skies and hot sun.

On Tuesday, we started out at Chief Chiniki Restaurant in Morley.  It was a registration day for preschool.  The preschool staff set up crafts inside for the children along with the registration.  Either before or after parents registered their children, they brought them to visit the bus.  The Legacy Library was donated to the Eagle’s Nest Women’s Shelter.

The C.O.W. bus participated in the Grand Opening of the building that houses FCSS and Parent Link on Wednesday in Cochrane.  A lot of fun activities were planned including Sparkles the Clown, free hoola hoops, crafts, a bouncy room, free food plus the Parent Link Centre was open for all to enjoy.  The Legacy Library was presented to the Nan Boothby Memorial Library and Parent Link to be shared.

Thursday found the bus out at Bragg Creek Community Centre.  Families were lining up before 10 a.m. to come on the bus.  There were many activities in the centre including the Rumble & Roar Playtime, crafts, face painting, tattoos, outdoor basketball, a storyteller and a concession lunch.  The Legacy Library was presented to the Bragg Creek Community Association.

The last day found us back in Cochrane in front of the Nan Boothby Memorial Library.  A Parent Link table was set up in the library with information and more hoola hoops.  Families enjoyed visiting the bus so much on Wednesday that many came back for a second visit.  Many new families also came out to see the bus.
